Fishing line is always a hazard to wild animals. We can lecture until we’re blue in the face: “Please pick up your fishing line. It gets wrapped around loons’ legs. It can have hooks which get lodged in turtles’ throats. It can wrap around duck bills.”

 We can go on and on but they say pictures are worth a thousand words.

We couldn’t think of a more poignant photo we could use to get our point across than this:

He electrocuted himself while we were on our way to rescue him…just 8 minutes away.
